About Margie Lee-Johnson

As Checkr continues to scale its San Francisco office and establish its new home in Denver, Margie will lead Checkr’s growing hiring needs and further the mission-driven culture that’s been core to Checkr from day one. Her focus will be establishing programs to ensure we are optimizing for meaningful work, hands-on management, and a productive environment to maximize employee and company success.

Margie was most recently Senior Director of Global People Operations at Twitch where she built talent programs and helped facilitate global expansion. While at Twitch, Margie helped the company expand to 17 countries. She previously served as the Director of Global People Operations at Ooyala and Manager of Global Employment and Compliance at Netflix, helping to lead unprecedented changes to the company’s parental leave policy, and Senior Manager of HR Center of Excellence at Sony PlayStation, where she drove strategic initiatives around compliance and technology.

About Avis Beiden

As the Director of Customer Education at Checkr, Avis and her team have the responsibility of supporting the success of Checkr’s customers by ensuring they understand how to operate compliantly while deriving the most value from their investment. In addition to supporting Checkr customer success, her team also manifests the company’s mission to “Build a fairer future with a better understanding of the past” through a Fair Assessment Certification and Fair Chance Hiring and Onboarding courses.

Avis was most recently Director of Enablement at Ayasdi, and prior to that she developed high-potential leadership programs at Cisco, built learning programs for technology startups at AdeptMinds,  and was head of Customer Education at Verity.
